Job Description
We are currently recruiting experienced Commercial Vehicle or Train Spray Painters for our long established and very successful client in Crewe. This is a highly reputable company that has gone from strength to strength over the last decade and offers a fantastic opportunity to became part of a strong independent, well run company.
The company repairs and Refurbishes rail and train carriages, using various preparation techniques and airless water based paint application systems.
Contract, self-employed and umbrella positions available.
An hourly rate of £17.25 with time and a half for any hours over 40.
£200 per week shift allowance for nights.(Payee only)
*All applicants must have experience of Spraying large Commercial Vehicles or Trian’s and be able to commit to working days or nights. There may be times when you will be expected to work at various sites other than Crewe.
Duties will in include
To carry out and set-up all aspects of painting to rail vehicles, using compliant paints.
To carry out and set-up all aspects of preparation to trains
Including de-greasing, washing, masking, flatting and basic filler repairs and corrosion removal as necessary, as well as preparation (using both mechanical and manual methods and equipment, orbital sanders, needle-guns and abrasive tools) to exacting specifications in accordance with quality and production standards.
All applicants must be medically fit and pass medical Health Screening requirements.
All applicants must comply with all company procedures (eg, accurate completion of Timesheets) and the Company’s Drug and Alcohol Policy.
Must be prepared to undertake appropriate training as and when required.
Please be aware that you may be required to work at various sites and shifts.
